Michigan Tech will play host to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship this weekend at the Student Development Complex Gym for the ninth time in the 25-year history of the event.

Huskies Top Hillsdale, Advance to Host GLIAC Final Four
Michigan Tech cruised past Hillsdale 67-49 in the opening round of the GLIAC Tournament tonight at the SDC Gym and will host the GLIAC Final Four this weekend. The Huskies jumped on the Chargers early in both halves to earn their 25th win of the season.

Tech Runs Into Hot Walsh Team in GLIAC Quarters
Michigan Tech was knocked out of the GLIAC Tournament by a hot-shooting Walsh team tonight 77-58. The seventh-seeded Cavaliers shot 15-of-27 from 3-point range to upset the second-seeded Huskies in a tournament quarterfinal game.

No. 4 Michigan Tech wraps up the regular season with a WCHA series against Northern Michigan this weekend. The Huskies and Wildcats meet at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on Friday and the Berry Events Center Saturday.

Michigan Tech senior forward Blake Pietila is ranked No. 45 in SB Nation's list of the Top 100 NHL Prospects in the NCAA. The New Jersey Devils draft pick leads the WCHA in faceoff percentage and is fourth in the league in power play points. He has 26 points on 11 goals and 15 assists this season.

Michigan Tech has qualified four individuals for the 2015 NCAA Skiing Championships it was officially announced today by the NCAA Skiing Committee. The Championships will take place on March 11 and 13 in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Michigan Tech had a region champion for the second day in a row as the Huskies completed day two of the NCAA Central Region Championships at Al Quaal Recreation Area today. Ulrika Axelsson and Deedra Irwin finished first and second in the women’s 15-kilometer classic race.
