    Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Famer, and the original Voice of the Huskies, Bob Olson passed away on Saturday (March 3) in Middletown, Connecticut.

    Michigan Tech drew the 20 winners of its 2017-18 Grand Raffle during Saturday's hockey game vs. Northern Michigan on Feb. 24. Bryan Harley from Beaverton, Mich. won the $10,000 grand prize.

    Less than one week remains to purchase tickets for the annual Michigan Tech Athletics Grand Raffle, which includes a top prize of $10,000. Winners will be drawn Feb. 24 during the hockey game vs. Northern Michigan inside the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.
  • Inspiring by Example: Dr. Bruce Trusock Receives Michigan Tech Silver Medal

    Silver medals aren't strictly for the Olympics. Michigan Tech is handing out one of its own, to one of its own, this weekend. Dr. Bruce Trusock, '74, will be awarded the Michigan Technological University Board of Trustees Silver Medal on Friday, February 9.

    Saturday (Feb. 17) is the annual Econo Foods Kids Day at Michigan Tech. Tadych's Econo Foods of Houghton has purchased 500 youth tickets for Saturday's Michigan Tech Athletic events that it will give away beginning Wednesday (Feb. 14) at noon.

  • SAAC Sponsoring Hat and Mitten Drive

    The Michigan Tech Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has coordinated a hat and mitten drive. All items collected at Huskies' home games and on campus will benefit the Salvation Army, a local charity. There is still time to bring in your donations as the event will run through Dec. 9 at the Tech hockey game vs. Ferris State in the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

    Michigan Tech Athletics is hosting Military Appreciation Weekend on November 10-12. The Huskies host six events that weekend and have partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to honor both active and retired military personnel. The weekend is being sponsored by Keweenaw Chevrolet, TV6, and Pepsi of Houghton.

  • Purchase a Michigan Tech Trails Annual Membership Now

    The Michigan Tech Trails are a great resource in our community – occupying 35 kilometers of nationally-recognized land for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking or mountain biking. Community members are required to purchase a membership or day pass prior to using the trails. Current Michigan Tech students use the trails for free through Experience Tech, and children 17 and younger can use the trails free of charge.
